Natural sponges have superior absorption capacity compared to synthetic sponges. 

Without a doubt the absolute best for crappie and seaweed patterns that provide a natural coloration.

Dip the sponge lightly in paint and "dab" it on a piece of paper so you can determine how hard or light you need to "dab" the bait to get the effect you want.
